We are one of he top swim teams in the USA and rent pool space at Meadowbrook. Our top swimmers train at Meadowbrook and are being kept from training preparation for Olympic Trials as well as other high level meets. We are have been ready with a plan to train safely and using all COVID-19 guidance from many sources. Please allow these high level athletes the opportunity to swim.

Meadowbrook should be allowed to open just as all the pools in the county. Some with in a few miles of Meadowbrook are open and running.

There is little logic with much of the forced closings but there isn't a shred of logic with keeping pools closed -- especially outdoor pools.

There are existing practices and recommendations that can be put in place to protect users. With summer camps shutting down, this pool would be a valuable assets to families with children this summer.

Swimming laps is a very important part of my mental and physical health maintenance. I completely understood the priority in keeping the population of Baltimore safe, but now, after 3 months, when it has been determined to be safe to swim with social distancing, there is no logical reason to keep these pools closed. In doing so, you are jeopardizing the operating budgets of these facilities and the health and well being of their members. Given that there are so many circumstances where social distancing guidelines are not being adhered to By city residents and enforcement is not happening/appropriate/possible, it is not fair or reasonable to restrict city residents from activities that pose little to no risk.
