Please allow the outdoor pool to open. It much much more hygenic for people to swim a chlorinated pool than lakes, streams or the bay.

There is no reason outdoor pools should not be open in the city at this point of the pandemic.

I know the management at Meadowbrook swim club. They are absolutely conscientious and prepared to reopen safely.

How does not allowing lap swimming benefit the City and it's residents ? Business owners and residents are intelligent people who can make appropriate decisions for their respective well-being. We are tired of being treated like we are stupid and can not make decisions for ourselves.

It's time to open pools. Outdoors; fresh air; plenty of room to social distance.

Why are massive groups in cities across the Nation allowed to cause destruction but law-abiding citizens who would like to do socially distanced, lap swimming, not permitted to do so ?? Irony. Unacceptable !

You can certainly swim at a socially acceptable distance.

Swimming is integral to my mental and physical health. I am aware of the pandemic and understand all the unknowns and thus need for caution. My husband and I have sheltered in place since March and worked online. Simultaneously, I feel that with proper guidelines and adherence to these guidelines it seems reasonable for people to begin to return to normal routines that support health and fitness. The Covid-19 virus is here to stay and we need to figure out how to function in a safe and healthy manner. Physical activity is one important aspect to add into the mix of social distancing, mask wearing and enjoying our lust for life.

Please, please open now! Social distancing can be maintained and chlorine kills EVERYTHING!
