I started this because the ballroom floor was empty but your stories show me that this place means so much more to our community. I am trying to get a meeting with the council members to show them exactly what they are throwing away. This response belongs to all of you.

LEAVE THE BALLROOM ALONE!!! We love dancing there every saturday night. Dont take away our only social spot.
Its the only decent dance floor in the whole town. Please keep it open.
so sad to hear this news. i have been going to lessons here for over 10 years and it feels like home.
Fix the roof and keep it open. Simple as that.
This place has been a huge part of our community for years. My grandparents met there. You cant just tear down history for more parking spaces.

Ridiculous decision. Where are people supposed to go now? The council never listens to us.
