We only need 77k signatures to remove Mike O'Brien from the Seattle City Council. We need a representative who actually listens to the people paying his salary. We are tired of being dismissed as hysterical NIMBY's!!!

Ballard is no longer safe and it is not simply a homeless issue. It is a drug use, mental health and criminal element. They are largely menacing and threatening. This is a much larger issue than employment and affordable housing.

Whether it's the decision to throw good money after bad for Pronto, or this ridiculous proposal to allow homeless camping in our parks, Mike O'Brien has shown himself to be totally incompetent and completely out of touch with what his district needs and wants.

O'Brien's proposal doesn't address real homeless population needs while ignoring residents use of public land held in trust. It also ignores enforcement, as well as public health and safety. We need a plan that addresses these real issues...

Mike O'Brien does not listen to or engage his constituents. He chooses what he wants to do and continues on that path, no matter how much opposition. We deserve a representative who is responsive to Seattle residents and taxpayers.

If Mike O'Brien proposed building $50 million in housing instead of approving upwards of $50 million for clean up I wouldn't be signing this petition. Spreading the problem and enabling behavior to our parks, greenbelts and streets is NOT a solution.

Our green spaces and parks are for all to enjoy, as well as a buffer to protect the environment. They are not for drug users who leave needles and trash everywhere. The litter is up in my Ballard neighborhood and rats are an issue.
