We the undersigned, hereby state our anger & extreme disappointment at the proposed cuts to the education budget for Edinburgh & most importantly to Balgreen Primary School. We ask that cognisance of these voters signatures be seen as a clear indication of how we feel & importantly will see the potential damage that will be done by the current elected party members. Those same officials who are charged with ensuring the standard of education that our children receives is optimum & fair to the teachers that give so much to this city & our school, despite the continuous cuts being farmed out to the school disguised as efficiency savings in 2009 & now further cuts.
We the undersigned, hereby wish all recipients of this petition to reconsider their position on the budget cuts & do all possible to renegotiate the concordat agreement and furthermore introduce ring fencing as per our neighbours in England & Wales to protect the education of our children.
The feedback regarding these proposed budget cuts confirms that the community remains deeply concerned about the future of Balgreen Primary School. I am currently drafting formal correspondence to the local council to ensure our position is clearly documented during their review process.

My son goes to Balgreen and he is already dealing with massive class sizes. This is going to ruin everything for them. Stop the cuts now!

Absolute disgrace. You cant just keep slashing budgets and expect the same results from teachers who are already pushed to their limit. Leave our kids alone.
