Do you want the Philippine National Historical Commission, City of Baguio, President Benigno Simeon Aquino III and PHILPOST to consider and declare the old Baguio Post Office building as a HISTORICAL SITE? Postal offices are considered historical monuments and portal of human interaction that connected people around the world. Baguio's Post Office reflects a period reminiscent of colonial times and it is one of the few remaining landmarks of the city's glorious past. Sadly, it is presently obscured by cellphone loading stations, eateries, karaoke pub house and others unimaginable of a postal office. With Baguio City's status as the Educational Center and the Communication Hub of Northern Philippines, the Baguio Post Office can likewise contribute and best serve its purpose as a Postal Museum that can also feature the various forms of communication. We therefore appeal to all who may have come across this petition to sign and endorse said move to convert Baguio's Post Office into a Postal Museum so that it reaches the authorities concerned for their favorable response.

I have finalized a formal brief detailing the architectural significance of the building to be delivered to the National Historical Commission next week. My focus remains on identifying the specific department within PHILPOST that holds administrative jurisdiction over the current site usage.

We are approaching the one hundred signature threshold which is the benchmark required to open a formal request for an audience with the City Council. Please direct this link to professional contacts or local heritage groups to ensure we reach this verified count before the close of business tomorrow.

Too many buildings in Baguio are being torn down for ugly malls. Keep this one at least.

A museum would actually be cool. Nobody even uses the post office for mail anymore anyway.
