How do you figure kids to carry books and home work if you keep taking things *in this case* book bags! If its a security issue then you should have people at the door with check points to look in them!! Get over this and stop the crime on your own!

I think that it is bullshit that girls can't carry a purse when they are on there period. They don't have time between classes to run to there locker to get there pad or tampon. So they just have to wear it all day. It is unsanitary and a health risk. I will be checking in to dhhr about this.

Bookbags are needed! Especially in middle school and high school! Sometimes u don't have enough time in between classes to go to ur locker and have to carry them. Thats a lot to carry around!

Let them carry backpacks. In my opinion, a metal detector will solve the problem at hand. Also there should have been metal detectors in schools all along! ~Concerned Parent~

Ban pants, a hand gun will slide right into the back of the waist. Ban sweat shirts, jackets, and hoodies, guns in the waistband could conceal said weapons. Ban boots, hand guns could be hidden in the boot. Ban tall socks with tennis shoes, yes, you could hide a gun under your pants in the top of your sock. Now we are down to our children wearing underwear and flip flops to school. First it was only clear backpacks were allowed because you could see a weapon in them. Really? Couldn't a person just wrap a wrapon up in gym clothes or a practice uniform? And what about sports equipment bags? Are you banning those also? These are ridiculous answers to a very serious problem. When are people going to wake up and address the real issue of too many guns in the wrong hands. And to the administration and teachers, don't just talk about bullying. Stand up and enforce it!!!!
