There is evidence that Trasacco Estate Development Company
Limited in Ghana has set its eye on the estuary area of Ada Foah, namely
Kewunor, to create a luxury beach retreat and marina development. The land
which this Company claims to have bought has been sold without consultation to
the local community or the chief whose jurisdiction includes Kewunor. The
people of Kewunor are strongly tied to their land and have no wish or desire to
be removed from this area. The legality of this Company’s current claims to the
land remains unclear but they are surveying the land without appropriate
documentation. This is causing anger and resentment within the community and
much distress to people who live here.

The growth in support has caught the attention of local legal counsel who will help us verify the land titles. We are currently preparing a formal letter to the municipal planning authority to contest the ongoing surveying activity.

So unfair to treat them as second class citizens and shaft them out of their own homes and communities after it is their own hard work that has built it to what it is today!!
PEOPLE ARE BEING ENCOURAGED BY POLITITIONS TO STAY IN THE RURAL AREAS TO HELP DEVELOP THE RURAL ECONOMY SINCE THERE ARE NO READY JOBS IN THE BIG CITIES. NOW THOSE WHO HAVE DECIDED TO STAY ARE BEING DRIVEN AWAY FROM THEIR NATIVE LAND, BY THE WICKED AND WEALTHY IN SOCIETY WITH SUPPORT FROM SOME GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND GREEDY CHIEFS WHO HAVE FAILED THEIR GENERATION.
it is wickedness to deny the people of Kewunor the right to live on the land their ancestors left for them almos a century ago, Trassaco should bot be allowed access to the land, this is greed at its highest level and Gid Himself will not allow it to happen: Cheer up Winfred, your labour of love will not be in vain, God is watching!!!
Alternative homes and livelihoods are no option for people whose lives are intricately connected to their natural environment. This would be a humans right violation 100 times over.
I hope we can stop this terrible plan and make sure that this company has to abide by the law and respect the community members who have been living there for generations. I spent only one week at Maranatha but it was amazing and I wish that many more people can enjoy this beautiful and affordable place
