I agree, a 3 lane car pool is utter nonsense when you only have a few bridges to get out of Aylmer.

The city keeps approving new building subdivisions in Aylmer while the road network is years behind. Why do we have town planners?

We live in Aylmer in the 19th century. Things need to move faster! Build a bridge, build a train, do something!! And thinking that you are planning to add condos on Lucerne near Champlain bridge is ludicrous.

The NCR should build a light rail transit system between Ottawa and Aylmer, to use the old rail line on lower Aylmer Road. There is a need to think long-term, which requires more than changing the traffic direction of the existing main roads during rush hour. Public transit should be encouraged, but the buses from Aylmer to Ottawa take too long if they effectively serve all the residents of Aylmer. We need investment in a fast, light-rail transit system that links the two cities, and that can be expanded in the future.

It is time to seriously consider a new bridge at Deschenes or to bring light rail to Aylmer WAY before 10 years from now - or you need to build more roads, more places of work and less houses! Planning for this area is a disaster.

They have the money, just not the balls to create a proper corridor linking the 50 , 5, 148 to the 7, 416, 417. Too many well connected judges along the Dunrobin shore

I have been travelling to downtown for the last 30 years and these last 10 years have been getting worse each year I now go to work for 6 am just so I miss the traffic and there is now traffic at this hour we really need a new bridge in aylmer from terry fox to Kanata especially with the new Carling campus moving over 8 thousand people out to those new government buildings and I am sure that the gov will be looking at more space out that way for government works as the rent is much cheaper than downtown so it would be ready for the future and by eliminating all people going to the east will keep the traffic down going to the west and downtown
