Aylmer Road and Lucerne TRAFFIC

I agree that Aylmer road should have the 3 passengers lane to be a 2 passenger lane Lucerne should remove the bike lane going east and modify the road to 3 lanes. The Champlain bridge should remove a 2 person lane. Open up Robert Stewart and be done with it as we can’t avoid the obvious. Connect the prince of Wales bridge with Ottawa to have one of the trains cross over.

Worst part of Gatineau is the traffic. Lucerne only slows down due to traffic, otherwise, people drive about 90 Km until they hit Vanier. Ridiculous. Slow it down at the Rivermead golf course to 50 km.

Please fix this awful problem it would add to the quality of many ppls lives.

The speed limit should reduced to 60 km/h west portion of Rivermead Rd. This is not a highway...

We need another bridge! By 6:00 a.m. Lucerne and Aylmer Road are congested... Aylmer Road (West bound) should be one lane into Aylmer in the morning, giving commuters an extra lane East bound.

I suggest we don’t even have a carpool lane, they don’t have them in Ottawa and traffic actually moves. I know the idea is it will motivate people but we have living proof it does not. Public transit needs improving drastically.

Please make public transit efficient and comfortable. Idea: As part of their training, all STO employees should be given a bus pass and be required to live their entire first week of employment using transit only, no car. Day and evening. All current employees too. How else can they possibly understand what we live through? I can drive to work every day but would prefer to take transit. I have an annual pass but still end up driving more than 50% of time due to poor route planning or lack of parc-au-bus planning. I'm afraid my retirement will come before a truly useable transit system to get me to and from work on time and in reasonable comfort in downtown Ottawa. :(

New developments wouldn't create more traffic if we didn't plan for more traffic by widening roads, adding parking and making transit less convenient and efficient. And why not make pressure on our councel to change the program for the traffic light on Lucerne, turning right on Champlain bridge? I've called and complained to 311.

Been taking this route for over 20 years just keeps getting worse some days even if I leave before 8am it takes 45 minutes just to get to the bridge!

Even on mid-afternoon on the weekend, we can't turn without a 15 to 30 minutes wait. Not to say the least in rush hour during the week. The cars coming from Blvd St-Raymond are filling the road til their red light, which is not leaving any space for the cars coming from Aylmer Road. SOOOOOOOOO frustrating. We are lucky to go down 2-4 cars only each time. At 7.30 am The cars are bumper to bumper from Vanier road to go east to get the bridge........Please do something....

Increasing housing development is a major part of the traffic problem since there is not adequate infrastructure to match the increased population. This negatively effects all citizens.

Make Lucerne 2 lanes during rush hour and widen brige to four lanes. Harper chose 3 lanes to save money. Have seen too many close calls on bridge where people are traveling in a closed X lane...either they don't seeit the X, or they are distracted by radio, cellphone, texting, etc. Very dangerous bridge, should have another bridge to link with Ottawa West.
