Dear students of Michigan

Imagine a textbook-tax free college life! The savings from that could be another load of gas in your car, a night at the movies, or maybe, more food for the week. Do you know the reality of a textbook-tax free Michigan may be yours in the near future?

Right now, at the House, a bill (House Bill 4028) sponsored by Representative Kosowski, is being reviewed by the Committee on Tax Policy. This bill puts forward an amendment to existing Michigan tax policy a “no textbook tax” clause, which proposes that college students with a valid student identification would not be charged tax on textbooks required to complete their courses.

If you are in support of this amendment, please sign this petition!

Textbooks cost way too much already, this is long overdue.
