Be sure to sign on to this progressive petition to eliminate a regressive tax initiative proposed by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake that will increase an already existing 2-cent 'bottle tax' by three cents, providing for a 5-cent 'bottle tax' that will hurt local businesses who will see residents purchase such bottle liquods in other counties, while disproportionately effecting lower class citizens who cannot afford transportation to surrounding counties, that will have no choice but to pay such a regressive tax.
Tell the Baltimore City Council here that you are AGAINST local bills 12-0032 & 12-0033, and ask them to 'AX the TAX' initiative that would disproportiantely hurt local taxpayers!
