Wintertime needs to be abolished in Namibia. Wintertime was initially introduce to concerns that school going children go to school when its still dark. Schools can start later at 07:00 or even 07:30. Commuters between Rehoboth and Windhoek and Okahandja and some other towns is negatively affected, whilst the business sector is also affected. Therefor we the undersigned wants Government to do away with wintertime in Namibia!!!
Since we are commuters to and from work this is impossible to manage and life threatening especially on the B1 Road - Our Economy is affected since it does not fall in business hours, etc. I hope our Government will look into this urgent matter as high priority and accept that schools can start later but business hours should be kept as normal practice, Mara Beukes
