Final supporters
For many years the parents of Avondale Park Primary School have been aware of the potential danger to our children from traffic on roads around the school, especially Sirdar Road.
In the past requests for a zebra crossing outside school have been declined by the local authority.
We do not want to wait until a child is seriously hurt or killed to address this problem.
This issue also affects many local families who cross the road regularly walking to the popular park and to other local schools.

Dangerous road. Cars drive very fast in This area. From beginning to end of school two sides have NO zebra crossing which is very dangerous for the children especially for the nursery and year 6 which are some walking home by themselves. Please this will help our community. Thank you .

My young children are both at Avondale Park Primary. The surrounding roads are really difficult whether a driver or pedestrian. There are lots of parked cars and a lack of specific safe crossing areas for children/ parents to use. Children travel to various schools in the area and are not safe.
It's my son nursery... to dangerous for children's and parents!
I am the mother of Mahmoud Amin Agha, and for the past years my children have also complained that it is hard for them to cross the road as there are many cars and a lot of them would not stop for them.
Very busy road outside school. Dangerous for my grandchildren

The road is very busy and difficult to navigate from the perspective of both pedestrians and drivers. The lack of a single designated place to cross safely makes it confusing and dangerous. Parked cars obscure views for everyone and at junctions in particular.
