The state finally caved and gave us access to the POST facility. All 505 of you forced their hand when they tried to ignore us. We won this round but I am watching them closely to ensure they hold their end of the bargain.

The state of Idaho should allow the Snake River Region SCCA to pay to use the POST training facility for the events it puts on for the community. Not just for the drivers in the Valley, but those that travel in from all over the Northwest. If allowed Idaho could host a regional event that would draw hundreds of drivers from the northwest and that is money for the community.

The state continues to ignore our requests while the POST facility sits empty and underutilized. I am tired of the bureaucratic stonewalling keeping our community from hosting events that would actually bring revenue into Idaho.

My husband and I would travel from Salt Lake City to an AutoX event hosted here as would other members from our local club. More income for the area (hotels, restaurants) and more competition for everyone in the region.

While not local I am local to an SCCA region that regularly uses Houston PD's training facility and it's a great partnership. I'm hopeful that Idaho can see the same partnership benefits and allow this to happen.

Been running autocross for over 35 years and we have helped so many young drivers learn how to drive and control their cars making their driving on the street so much safer. It's a great training aid for anyone of any age woman and men alike.

This looks like a fantastic site and would present the opportunity for more driver education, recreation for people and their families and offset operating costs of the facility. I hope to use this facility in the future. Ryan Dillin

Our region is desperate for additional event sites! Venues like this one can help new and experienced drivers better understand the true limits of their vehicle, as well as provide a safe alternative for those who might drive dangerously on public roads.

Idaho resident, SCCA member, active in autocross events in Idaho, Utah, Washington, California and Nebraska. This would be a great revenue generator and community involvement partnership with our volunteer club and the police.
