Why is the daily rate going up? Why does it cost more each day than it did 2 years ago when we shipped our dogs last time? This is a massive increase. They will be earning the same money but giving you less days in quarantine.

It's costing us an arm & a leg as it is and our kids will be devastated if this means we can't afford to bring our beloved pet. Are they providing 5*+ hotel services? Please not so expensive.

Seems an extortionate increase. Some justification for a 10 fold + increase would be appreciated.

How can you justify this?? A slight increase maybe, but to go from $39 to $149 overnight is extortionate. I have 6 dogs and cannot possibly afford this increase. please reconsider.

This is heartbreaking. I have everything planned for my cat's departure and now I don't think I can afford the new fees. 149AUD per day is unwarrantedly high for the services that a quaratine period entails. Please don't raise the fees!

this is outrageous. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats to take to Australia. I can't leave them behind, their are my family. I have no one in U. K to leave them with. which I just. couldn't do anyway. how can. they justify such a huge increase. please don't do it.

Due to my working pattern I have only just seen this email. This is highway robbery. I want to move home to live but I just can't afford to pay $ 1800 for a dog and another $1800 for a cat on top of the already overpriced fees to ship an animal. This is pure greed and I am disappointed that Australia is now leading the world in profit making from ordinary people. I thought $692 for a 10 day stay for a dog to be more than enough. What are you doing for that money. A few minutes consultation with a vet, a short walk, feeding and some heating and maintence. There is a lot of profit in $62 per day for a dog. This is ufair and discrimminating against animal owners.

New rates are an outrageous increase when there is no extra service or state of art facility.

I think that the prices these authorities are charging us to quorantine our pets is outrageouse, have they no hearts for our pets? I don't think it is fair to line their pockets with greed in mind rather than a helping hand that us pet lovers need.

this will cause undue stress and upset to lots of pets as many will have to be re homed as a lot of people will not be able to afford this. i have 2 dogs and don't know wot to do now as i have all ready started the proses of them vaccinated.

Australia needs skilled workers but with all other costs I don't think it's affordable to make the move, holding us ransom by hiking up costs like this by 400% is not fair !! The prices are crazy already, many animals will suffer as a result of these drastic rises in fees !

This is totally wrong the country wants skilled migrants to help then hold us ransom . These prices are 400% more than we had budgeted ... it is really unfair !

It costs enough to transport the animals in the first place.

The fact that the duration of quarantine has been reduced was a big factor in our descission to take our dogs to Australia. It seems a shame that they feel the need to increase the quarantine fees to make up for the reduced stay. I would have thought that this would encourage more people to take their pets with them, so that the Quarantine stations would still be as busy, just with a bigger turn over of pets

Shocking extortion, almost as bad as pet couriers who also charge way too much
