$800 is quite a increase and might be a case of having to give cat away to another home rather than bring him with when I migrate to Australia

All the costs for pet relocation are extremely high - the vet visits, blood test, immunisations, airline costs, documentation fees, quarantine etc. If this increase is approved, it will cost a minimum of $10,000 to send our dog from USA to Australia. We just cannot afford this. The whole process is heartbreaking and stressful enough!

Unbelievable amount of money per day! It's not as if they're offering a better service or anything and having used Melbourne quarantine before the standards are pretty low compared to UK,

How can they even justify such a significant increase, monoplisation of the service

Please don't make extra revenue off people's beloved pets. They are like family members to us. I am already struggling to get funds to fly him from London to Sydney later in the year, this price increase would make it even higher.

This will make make pets homeless or even put down as people cannot afford this ridicoulous increase. This proves and shows that Australia is out to make money and not care for animals!!! We are devasted if this increases as we are looking to ship our 8 yr old Labrador and 5 yr old cat out end of August beg Seprember. We definately cannot afford this and will have to let them go to an animal sanctuary or even worse which makes me feel sick putting them down!!!!

Looks like someone came up with an idea to recoup the losses when quarantine was cut from 30 to 10 days. I wonder what their bonus will be this year?

Pet lovers are not all wealthy, how to penalise Australians for loving their pets many will be forced not to return home or to abandon their pets, please do not penalise pet lovers in this greedy way, this is all about money, not love of animals!

They are in a cage getting the basic necessities. They aren't in a 5 star hotel! Why a pet is being charged so much for such service is criminal!

Please do not deprive us of bringing our beloved pet to Australia. The proposed fees would be a burden on all involved.

A rise from $35 per day to $180 per day to simply recoup the loss of revenue due to the reduction in requirements quarantine period (which seems to be the only reason) is unfair and unjust

We have planned to bring our family of pets back home. 10 cats 2 dogs. Our family. The costs you are proposing are creating distress to my children and my family. We cannot bring them if you do this it is beyond anything we can afford. Our hearts are breaking please help us to keep our family together. Do not impose such restrictive fees. Please.

An increase as large as this is appalling, it's just another way of squeezing every last penny from new immigrants
