A truly disgusting, greedy increase by the Australian government.

Making it too hard and too expensive, the animals will suffer as people will find it too expensive to bring their pets over.

Why do we end up paying for the DAFF not properly running their operating costs? An increase of that level is daylight robbery, totally unjustified for the level of effort and puts bringing our pets (and many others) over into jeopardy - watch the number of animals being imported drop significantly if this policy comes in.

$1800 for 10 days - is outright extortion on thw poor people who want to legitimately bring animals to Australia. Havimg used the service in Qld I can honestly say my pet was not cared for adequately to justify any more than a kennel fee

Daylight robbery don't take away a chance for Australians to be with there pets.It appears the Goverment have found another money making exercise . How can you justify such a huge increase and if people have already paid prior to the 1/7/14 shouldn't have to pay an addition fee.

Please reevaluate the changes to your fee structure

Such a rise in price is not justified and only penalised people with a pet. Unfortunately, when one has a pet, it is for years. And no one can even think of abandoning a pet when coming home. Such a measure is just punishing people for no valid reason. Are you trying to prevent the inflow of pet animals from abroad? For what purpose?

This is far to expensive for people and like myself with 3 pets would find this hard and would delay and plans of a move to australia

I am devastated hearing this it is just too much. It is a fortune anyway to get my dog there in the first place and due to there being no quarantine in Adelaide that means more cost to fly my dog out. This is making it inaccessible to bring our beloved pet out with us and we have already booked our flights now, what a predicament to in.

There is no need to increase fees that high, that is unjust.

We are desperate to bring our 2 dogs with us to Australia but this increase in quarantine fees feels like a really unfair charge

Putting fees up will lead to a increase in cats and dogs being homeless. Pets are family too!

I have two cats and they don't require walking and cleaning is easier with litter trays. As they travel and kennel together the raises in cost especially for cats does seem to reflect the differences in handling?! Our pets are an essential part of our family, and this cost rise would be devastating!

This seems to be an attempt to charge the same amount as before, but for less time. How this could even be considered "reasonable" is beyond me. I have 3 dogs that I am bringing into the country, so this would increase my costs by over $3000 total.

This increase is beyond excessive!

The cost of moving internationally is already expensive with job hunting often coming after landing. The added financial strain of additional costs may just push me into a very difficult decision. Pleas don't do this.
