Australia Quarantine Fees

I'm aiming to move to Perth, Australia and bring both my dogs. This increased daily fee per pet seems excessive for a 10-day stay. With the closure of the Perth quarantine center, we're limited to the Melbourne or Sydney facilities so this increased fee will add further costs to an already expensive moving process. Please reconsider.

A 382 % price rise is madness and all it serves to do is penalise someone from bringing a loved animal home. As Phony Abbott would say, it is "UnAustralian"

What a joke this massive price increase is. A small one might be suitable but certainly not one that large.

I feel this is totally unwarrented, and is far in excess of what is needed. Feel outraged by this.

Why do you need to increase the price, the facilities haven't changed, the amount of customers can be increased due to shorter quarantine times. If you increase the price to this ridiculous amount, you will lose customers, whereas with the current price, more people will consider the move and what it involves financially !!!

I too wish to send my dog to Australia next year and has become affordable with the stay shortened to 10 days, we are hoping this increase to 149 dollars per day will not go ahead as with all the other costs involved with our visas etc that we have budgeted for, this will not help us at all with our dream in relocating to Australia.

It's ridiculous...Australia has always had a problem with letting anything in to the country and this makes it even harder for people with pets to move there. It's unfair and unreasonable.

This seems a very excessive price increase and should be reviewed

Seeing that I plan to send my pet dog over next year I feel that the current cost for the ten day stay is reasonable and so I would not favour the increase from July 2014.

This is just shocking. For some people it's just going to prove too expensive and take the decision whether they export their pets out of their hands. Horrible and potentially heart-breaking decision.

More money for the government, I would like to know what food is offered to the animals in quarantine? Pedigree , home brand? Or maybe any other meat by product as it's sponsored

This seems an extremely high increase and makes us rethink taking our beloved cocker spaniel with us. This would break all our hearts especially our two boys.
