$149.00 is an exorbitant charge and totally unjustifiable. Tony Abbott strikes again!

Ridiculous amount of money to have to pay over and above the large amount of money for shipping and rabies vaccination etc

This is an outrageous increase in fees and will have a huge impact on people that love their pets and need to bring them with the rest of their families to Australia. It is totally unfair and unjustifiable.

This is just ridiculous! How can you justify increasing the cost that much? It's already expensive enough! Have a good think about the consequences!!

This is discriminatory against people who love their pets and wish to bring them home instead of leaving them or getting them destroyed.

this is an extortionate amount to be asked to pay - effectively costing an extra $3,000.00 for two animals - along with all the vet bills before leaving, the cost of the flight and the cost of quarantine before the proposed raise is expensive enough .. please don't do this, don't penalise the people who love their animals enough to take them to a new country - thank you

My TWO dogs are Australian, we left the country on 14.2.14 and returning in six months time. I chose not to leave my animals behind, however it was never explained I would be paying more than double for quarantine. My blood is boiling!!! Another money making scam we are slammed with!!! Flights from UK to AU 5000 plus 3600 for boarding for TWO dogs... 8600AUD!!!!!!! Are you kidding me!!!!! So thanks to YOU I will more than likely have to rehine my beloved animals! Outraged doesn't even come close!! I suppose the decision makers of these ridiculous fees can afford extortion but I certainly can't!!!

I would urge you not to do this, we have two dogs and one cat and this massive increase will force us-and I'm sure many others-to leave them behind meaning I also save £4500 transport cost, be fair! This is not a slight increase.

How can you justify tripling the price?

I think this is outrageous. I have made the decision to take my cat back to Australia with me at great expense which is my choice and I'm happy to pay it but I don't think it is right to increase the cost to 3 times as much as the current fee. This is day light robbery!

only 2 months notice is unfair, charges for each tax year should be published 12 months prior so we can budget for the move.. I`ve got 3 dogs so its a real worry where to find the extra charges

This is too much in one increase, the increase should be a staggered as emigrating is a process that takes months if not years of planning and budgeting

This high cost will prevent many families from bringing their beloved pets when they relocate.
