The cost of exporting dogs is so expensive already (a total of $25,000 for my 3 pets) that we could really do without any further increases in the cost of this.

This price increase is rediculous fair enough if its a small amount but the proce is rediculous and then you want people to libe in your country

The proposed hike in quarantine prices is such a steep change in such a short period time. It is far too much money to ask and I the decision should be very much reconsidered.

We still have a dog in the UK who is staying with friends until we can rais the funds to bring her over. If this goes ahead, we will never be able to afford to bring her over. We feel like we are missing a member of our family.

How can the average pet owner moving to Australia afford to bring in their pet when the Quarantine fees are soaring up to an extremely expensive $149AUD per day fee? Pet owners, show exhibitors and breeders are going to devastated if this is taken into effect.

How is DAFF justifiying such a price hike? What kind of marker are they using to bump up the price by so much. They want to discourage families bring their pets with them. What if a family has 2 or 3 or more dogs and cats they will no longer be able to afford it. This is totally unjustified. If Australian government wants to build a new facility they need to budget for it not snatch it out of peoples pockets.

There doesn't seem to be a sufficiently good reason for this increase. Pets that are allowed into Australia have to undergo stringent medical treatment before entering Australia. Vet fees, if required, are additional to the per day cost for pets. This proposed increase seems to be unjust and unfair.

I have just began then lengthy and costly process of bringing my two cats to Australia, if these proposed fees go ahead I will be forced to reconsider despite already paying for vets bills and a percentage of the airline charge, please don't do this, we all deserve to have our pets with us in our new homes.

A similar situation happened very many years ago. Returning Australians and people involved in showing, contacted their Members of the House of Representatives.
