Please lessen the cost of my pet's travel. And please lessen the 6month long waiting period, rather than that you can have a 2-3 month wait period

Pets are family and shouldn’t be treated like this.

The quarantine fees are absolutely ridiculous! $149 per day for one dog and a further $149 for a second dog sharing the same kennel. How is this price justified? Why is a second dog charged the same price if sharing the same kennel? It’s even more expensive now for a 10 day quarantine than the previous 30 days. Explain the price increase from $29 per day to $149 per day, which is an increase of over 400%! This exorbitant price also does not include any vet fees or other fees connected to the quarantining of the animals. Our two dogs would cost almost $300 per day, which is more than what any 5 star hotel would charge in the country! The government needs to look into other quarantine options (such as privately-owned kennels) if they can’t offer cost-effective and competitive accommodation for pets!

The previous charge of $50/day was high for cat boarding, however seemed reasonable given that the service was offered as part of biosecurity measures and therefore was probably more costly to maintain than a regular boarding service. $149/day - with additional charges for documentation, and the required vet checks charged at a rate of $160/hour - seems to be more about taking the opportunity of generating income in a completely controlled market rather than covering the costs of delivering a service.

This is a completely unreasonable and unjustified increase in price.
