We, the Uber drivers of Augusta, submit this petition to appeal to the Uber corporation against the recent fare drop on January 9th, 2016. We feel that the Augusta market is very different then other markets studied and will not prosper from such drastic actions. We feel that the rate drop makes it increasingly difficult for drivers to justify continuing for Uber due to the cost of maintenance and wear and tear on our vehicles being greater than what will be earned at this new rate. We ask Uber to return to the original rates and not lose the majority of drivers in what was a growing and prosperous market. Our customer base was already growing and considered the old rate reasonable and therefore a rate drop was not necessary.
