Audi, please update MMI/AMI software to allow multitasked audio from Apple iPhone

The Apple iPhone now allows multitasked audio, but the Audi MMI/AMI system will only allow the playback of the locally stored iPod music through the car system. This petition is to bring attention to Audi that the owners of Audi vehicles and iPhones are requesting an update the the MMI/AMI so that the system will allow other applications (i.e. Pandora, Last.fm, SiriusXM) to push audio thru the car system.
ISSUE BACKGROUND:
Currently, if you try to play audio from an app that is not the iPod on the phone -- the app audio will play for a few seconds and then the iPod audio will supersede the app audio.
Apple has informed me that the code change to allow this functionality is dependent on Audi to make. The iPod audio should stay paused when another app is pushing Audio thru the phone. If a user wants to resume iPod audio, all they will have to do is select a song on the MMI screen for the iPod to take audio control again.
Let's all band together to let Audi know we want this change. I have a ticket already opened at Audi of America.

Audi cars are some of the best in the world. They are luxurious, have great handling, and some of the best designs. Ahead of the rest. But why is it brands like KIA have technology that surpass Audi? I rented a Ford Focus for vacation, and I had a choice of using Bluetooth or using an USB for my iPhone. It was able to play Pandora with ease, and even showed the music info on the screen. Audi should be ahead of the curve when it comes to technology, too.
I travel for business frequently, and use my iPhone with various rental cars blutooth to get turn by turn navigation with no problem. Unfortunately, my brand new Audi Q5's $3500 MMI system seem too outdated to allow similar capabilities as other cars that are a few years old. I switched from BMW after 10 years to Audi, but unless Audi shows some inititive to satisfy their customers, I will switch back to my beloved brand (BMW).

I would love to have the functionality that even $100-200 aftermarket radios have! Give me something other than bluetooth pass thru!
