Final supporters
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a drastic impact on all our lives. The world economy has shut down, and salaries are not guaranteed. However, the tuition fees on education haven't been adjusted.
- Student's academics and learning have been torn in half, as we are unable to utilize any of the facilities for which we pay hefty tuition fees. For example, labs, classrooms, libraries, learning materials, individual academic mentorships studios, equipment, sports facilities, etc.
- Student careers will be decimated with a global freeze on hiring, cancelled job offers, and internships, as they graduate into the worst recession the world has seen.
- Families are struggling financially, as businesses are shut down and operate on zero revenue. Especially with retail and services-based industries closed, a lot of salaried parents are
I appreciate how AUD has adjusted for the Spring semester by accommodating our interests and still accomplishing our goals.
However, are tuition fees justified if the students are not by choice but by force being unable to utilize the services for which they pay the tuition fees? I'd like to appeal to the management to take note of the situation and reduce the upcoming payments of the forthcoming semesters for the undelivered services.
While we sit at home, terrified of the virus, worried sick about our careers, our family's financial stability, and scared of what the future holds for us, we currently do not have the fiscal capacity to afford an education in AUD. We head into what is being considered the worst recession of the century.
We're going to have to pick up the pieces when this is all over. This epidemic is a challenge that we will all be faced with in surviving the economic calamity that's been triggered by the response due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Don't get me wrong the response to our safety for the COVID-19 epidemic is necessary. We've had to shut everything down to slow the virus in an attempt to stop it in its tracks and keep people as safe as possible.

I just looked at the screen and saw the number one hundred staring back at me which is honestly surreal because I started this while pacing around my room at midnight. It feels like people actually get how frustrating it is to pay full price for a campus we cannot even step foot in right now.

I agree with everything said, the quality of education is not the same so why is the fees the same? In lab classes we watch a video of the experiment which can also be watched from some random channel on youtube. We dont have access to the university, the fees should be reduced and returned too.
Since we’re learning from our homes via bb Ultra, we’re not using any of the campus facilities whatsoever. Fees reduction is a great idea for having students follow up with their credits and not be behind in any course. Personally, I wouldn’t pay regular fees if I’m being educated behind a screen from my home.
Since the tough period the world is going through, all people should stand with each other, to have a successful society. In these times , a lot of parents are not getting paid or getting less than before so what I’m requesting to is reducing the fees of the summer semester for the students and to handle this hard period together.
As a student who works to pay for his uni tuition, I find the tuition fees extremely high at AUD, as they are higher than international universities
Since we are not utilizing the universities facilities we should get a discounted price for summer semester. The university will not be paying for DEWA and electricity at the same rate as if we were attending university so it is a fair request
if you want to proceed with charging students for dorms we will proceed with alerting the ministry of education as well as every authority about this. WHY DO WE PAY WHEN THESE ARE UNCERTAIN TIMES AND NO ONE KNOWS IF WE WILL EVEN BE ALLOWED ON CAMPUS BY AUGUST?!!! pressuring students to pay will not work with us :)
AUD needs to start prioritizing the needs of their students over their own capitalist gain! How shameful.

I agree 100%, There should be reduction in the university’s cost. All the companies are deducting 50-60% from the salaries please bear with us.
