This is a petition for the students of Adelphi University to sign. The quality of the food produced by and served by Lackmann Culinary Services is mediocre at very best and intolerable. Many students, including myself, have gotten sick from the Lackmann food. Additionally, Lackmann requires resident students to have a meal plan. This is unfair to students who already pay a large sum of money to not only attend the university but to live on campus. The Lackmann Culinary Services' low quality of food, and unwillingness to let resident students have a choice as to whether not they want the meal plan, has even forced students to move off campus. This is absolutely unfair to students who enjoy living on campus but cannot eat the Lackmann food because it puts their health at risk. This is a petition for Lackmann to either improve the quality of the food or make the food plan optional. Too many students are getting sick from the food on campus and it is time for us students to stand up for our health and freedom to choose!
