I know the quality and accessibility of the food, here at Agnes Scott College, is a growing concern of many. I would like to bring this issue to light and demand a change. Students attending an incredibly expensive private school, such as Agnes, should not go hungry, because much of what we are served is next to inedible.
Another problem that causes me much concern within food services at Agnes Scott is that such a prestigious and expensive private school would employee a corrupt and vile company such as Aramark. Aramark profits off of private prisons, has faced multiple lawsuits for unsanitary working conditions, and knowingly pays their employees less than a livable wage.
My goal is to bring these issue and the concerns of other to eye of President Kiss and the rest of facility, so that effective change can happen. I have written a letter that further explains the many issues with Aramark and Evans and plan to send that along with this petition to President Kiss when it reaches a large amount of signatures.

I want to be able to eat at Evans regularly, because breakfast is an important meal and it's easier going there then standing in line at Mollie's. However, the food is often so bad that eating it makes me sick to my stomach. I am a vegetarian, and the vegetables in Evans are usually in bad condition or simply not there except for lettuce and canned vegetables. At Mollie's, the only foods I can dependably get are cheese quesadillas and veggie burgers, and even then those are cooked on the same grill as the meat they serve there. I have a hard time as a vegetarian, and my friends with vegan or gluten-free requirements have an even harder time getting food. We all live here and attend this campus, we should be able to eat here as well.
Having them consistently label peanuts would be great, right now it's only every few times that they put out a sign and that's very dangerous for me with my peanut allergy
I'm vegan and generally the vegan options on campus are pretty good, But the fa ct that Aromark benefits from prison labor is very upsetting to me. As a social justice focused school, we cannot continue to give them our support.
When people are hoping to get into Avery and Campbell just because they will have kitchens and finally be able to eat, you know there's a problem.
I have lost a lot of weight since the summer because I cannot eat a lot of the food presented to us without my acid reflux causing me to throw up.
evans needs better fruit and better vegan, kosher, and halal options!

If I have to be on a meal plan, I need to be able to actually eat. Breakfast hours are almost impossible to access. On the weekends, I almost always miss dinner as well.
