This should not go ahead purely down to the increased flooding risk. It does not take a genius to work out that if you build on land which floods every year that it will only get worse!!!

Village infrastructure not able to cope with any further building developments.

This appears to be government policy as the country is becoming overcrowded with very little effort in restricting immigration to all whether EU citizens or not. Good luck with you efforts.

I think the danger is an expanding boundary for Aston, there's no telling where it might end once the flood gates have been opened!

Please take into account the flood risks the overworked sewage system , it's time for communities to take a stand before it's too late.

This area floods, and holds species protected under the wildlife and countryside act!

I escaped the flooding last year by 100 metres. If this development goes ahead the water displaced will almost certainly be pushed further through the village.

You have all my sympathy as we have suffered in Bampton similarly with no help from local MP

There is some rationale for bringing new people into the village. However, this is a proposal that is sat right on the edge of a flood plain, will provide a major impact on local roads (which the County struggle to upkeep as it is), local facilities eg doctors surgery and particularly the local school which is at maximum capacity (which inadvertently causes chaos on the main road). Additionally, the balance of private and social housing irrespective of planning policies is not acceptable. perhaps a rethink of fragmented development with thought to some of the above comments.

My concerns are flooding, especially since changes in Oxford will mean our locality is more susceptible anyway, so even if this land does not currently flood, it is likely to in the future. Also, it will mean even more cars and traffic on the Cote road than there are now, and the current inadequate bus service making this unavoidable. Currently the noise of any events in the village hall does not affect too many as houses are sufficiently far away. Te new development will no doubt lead to noise complaints. Also, why are developers not building on land inside the village boundary? There will be no stopping Aston joining with Cote!

The flooding last year came within 2 feet of our front gate! The proposed development represents an unacceptable risk to residents, especially here at the end of Bull Street; the WODC should apply the Environment Agency's 'precautionary principle' and reject the application. Good luck!

The real beneficiaries of this development are the wealthy landowners and the developers who no doubt have taken an 'option' on the site with the landowners 'lobby group' promoting this as a development for the benefit of the villagers...how so!! ...school is full, fields flood , run off from the proposed development will go where??
