I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this effort since I first put these words down on a page. This momentum belongs entirely to you because I never imagined this would gather such strength on its own.

Please NO nuclear waste stored or transported through Texas. Definitely no transport by rail through a major city like Houston.
As a resident of Eunice NM on the border to Texas and living just a few 5 miles form the WCS dump and Urenco Enrichment Plant, I have always voiced my concerns about these facilities and all the liberties that they are taking by bringing in the WIPP waste as well as the other wastes from 36 states outside the Compact. It is unbelievable that this continues to be the way Texas and New Mexico will be run. What values? Human and animal life seem to be considered secondary. Safety on the roads around this have become crowded due to oilfield traffic and nuclear related transports, it is a dangerous place to live in Eunice and this area and I wouldn't want this for anyone. I strongly urge Texas to reconsider this strategy.
ESPECIALLY PUBLIC HEARINGS. I don't want any nuclear waste coming through my county PERIOD.
Follow the federal law and o the right thing
Not in Texas, definitely not in any populated areas or any where it can seep into our water supply, which is already a huge reservoir under the State of Texas anyway.
I beg the state of Texas to not allow nuclear waste to be disposed here so private organizations can profit. American human beings that live near potential waste areas do not deserve to have their health jeopardized. This could also potentially affect other cities and counties that the waste will be transported through.

Every county in Texas should ban nuclear waste and nuclear plants. There is NO PLACE SAFE for that waste or nuke plants. If a plant generates it, then they should store the waste right there on their company property. Someone hurry up and figure out how to neutralize all this hot stuff. I have had radiation poisoning twice. It wasn't severe or I would be dead. But, I do suffer continuing health problems because of it, and it may catch up with me at some point and give me cancer. HATE the stuff.
