I don't see how only allowing each household 2 cars is fair or even legal. What happens to households that have more than 2 vehicles? Are we simply forgotten about and completely disregarded as residents of this development? These types of decisions should not be made without being voted upon.

I think the solution to this issue is quite simple, leave us alone. Most of us in this neighborhood are hard working people with families and pay good money to "own" our homes. This is a residential neighborhood full of privately owned homes, not apartment homes, therefore apartment rules should not be applied. HOA seems to be doing a lot of taking from us financially but not not leaving us with much of a service in which we a paying for. I myself am a combat veteran and have fought long and hard wars to protect the rights and freedoms of American citizens here in this country and the last thing I want to come home to is some (as far as I'm concerned) invisible entity taking money from my family and peace right along with it. We are adults and to you HOA officials we should not have to explain what is right and what the common sense approach to this issue should be. Some of us cannot fit our cars in our garages and have private and/or company vehicles that are too large to fit in our garages as well. Are you going to tow our company vehicles preventing us from going to work thus preventing us from paying your fees? I think I speak for the majority of folks involved in this petition when I say that I'd be more than happy to let you pay my mortgage every month since you all apparently want to be involved in how we live in our private homes. However, if that is not an option, then I would like to recommend you pull all of this energy you all are taking to take away rights from us and actually provide us the service we are paying for. A service like actually providing more parking spaces in the neighborhood with all of the extra land that is in the back of the neighborhood. You should also be informing us as residents of possible changes to the neighborhood (i.e this parking rule) before a change is actually voted on and passed by your organization. Also, I never received any mail or letters mentioning a potential change in parking besides an abrupt notification that a

Yes!! This is extremely unfair. We have to spread the word about signing this petition!! We have to have roughly 90 signatures for the board to call an emergency meeting prior to this new parking amendment taking affect. Let's stop them from telling us how to live our lives!!!

Everyone needs to work together for those who have larger vehicles that will not fit in their garage. It's hard to believe that on a daily basis there are that many visitors that need those extra parking spaces, specially during the week days. Who will be parking in those spaces at night time? They will remain empty while residents struggle to park their vehicles in such limited space. We are all paying our dues here, and need to feel that we can park close to our homes and feel that our vehicles are in a safe place. Guest come and go occasionally, but we live here permanently. Things were working just fine before, we need to go back to that.

I think instead of making all these changes that cost you nothing and impinge on all the residents why don't you spend some of that money you get each month on changes that will help us. Like better lighting at the mail boxes.

I fully understand some changes need to be implemented, but this is extreme. We own three cars. My son is a senior in HS and takes dual enrollement classes at HCC Regent. Why would guest parking be more important?

the hoa needs to focuse on fixing the parking and not being able to park a commercial vehicle here. you need to put more lighing in the whole community its to dark at night to check the mail when the sun is going down and its to dark to park your vehicle in any of the guest parking. in top of it all you are making us put the trash can and recycling cans in the already limited space of the garage. I seems like the board members have over sized garages and under sized cars to be so concerned with the parking here. We need more parking spaces not less.

The board seems to want to change this to a retirement community? every couple months a new law or rule about you can't do this or that. I am all for making this neighborhood a nice family community but this is getting petty. Many more topics that id like to address also see you at the meeting! Thank you to whoever started this! We need to make our decisions as a whole community not just 2 or 3 people on the board!

This is an excellent way for the community to hold the board members accountable for their impetuous decisions. Please make sure you are a lot owner and if you are a renter, email this link to your landlord for their signature. Also if there are two people on the mortgage, it is lawful for both persons to sign the petition.

This is suppose to be a family community. With the word family, comes kids that grow and become of age to drive. Where are they suppose to put there car? No very family oriented if this parking guideline does not get fixed. Makes me what to leave after 7 years of living in this community. Also, according to the new guidelines we are to turn our last minute guest away, because a pass will not be given on weekends or holidays. What a minute... guests usually visit on weekends and holidays. HUMMMMM

If this guideline does not get changed back, then we need to petition for the whole board to be removed and replaced with a family community oriented board.

Why isn't the HOA providing options on how to resolve the parking issues, as opposed to issuing restrictions? Why can't the vacant lots at the end of the complex be used as a means for parking?

Why after 7 years are they now trying to enforce a parking guideline that was not discussed upon buying your unit. If so, half of the family oriented owners would not be in this community. This is a 3 bedroom unit neighborhood that is trying to enforce a two bedroom unit only car parking rule, where's the logic in that? I have to admit I should have submitted the paperwork to vote a more logical person into the board, like my husband. However, I did not submit my paperwork in time. With that being said a change has been decided without giving the residents a fair chance to give their opinion like they were given in the February meeting on the discussion of the garbage cans not being outside in front of our residences. After that discussion it was decided that residents were allowed to have one garbage can outside of the residence with a grill cover on it. Umh! Discussed, Decided enforced. We should be able to do the same thing at our next meeting. Back to the parking it was also stated in the meeting that an representative I believe of the HOA management paid out of thier own pocket for our decals. I may be old fashion, but I don't believe anyone is willing to put out unless they are getting something out of it!

Why don't they talk about cleaning up the gutters and pressure washing the units instead? Where are the rights of the owners???It's ok to have clear rules about parking spaces etc, but please, be more sensitive to address this issue and come up with some ideas like constructing more parking spaces.

It is clear that whoever designed this community did not thing about parking. Why are we allowed to park on the street during the day when there is traffic but not at night between 12am and 6am when there is no one driving? What difference does it make the 6 hours at night? How about if we just park on one side of the street and not on the other? I really thing that we are not going to solve the parking issue restricting it even more.
My household has 2 cars but I also have a work van. What am I going to do?
