Let me guess. You have children under age , What's going to happen to them when they turn 16 or 17 and they want to have a car and a job ? your kicking them out ? You do support the rule until it hits home...and then what ? Everyone else becomes an A_ _ then for thinking like you !!!!!

I've often wanted to make many of these meetings, but being a full-time paramedic and full time engineering student. Quite often I have a literal schedule conflict and other times attending an HOA meeting doesn't seem quite as much of a priority as being a good student, family member or significant other. The silent majority is busy trying to live their lives, it's only now they are heard from because these rules are directly interfering with our ability to live our lives.

The parking restrictions have significantly impaired my ability to have friends or family visit. I am hoping for my fiance to move in with me later in August but she's from a big family and is encouraging me to find a new home because the restrictions here are effectively a curfew. It's almost like being a teenager again.

Thanks Tom for all you did to try and get this special meeting. It is a shame that, according to Rachel's reply, our opinions as homeowners do not count because the board has already decided this issue for us. Guess we all need to be a lot more proactive when choosing who we nominate to be our voice next time.....like maybe people who actually seek out our desires as homeowners. Real shame.....

We definitelty need to discuss the parking situation as well as other items like Squatters on the proeprty and also the maintenance of the property and the fees that we are paying for the services we receive.

The new parking guidelines are ridiculous. My suggestion is that owners with 3 vehicles registered at their address should be given one permanent overnight pass and all owners should be given one reusable overnight guest pass. I have family flying into town next month and it will be impossible to provide the year, make and model of the rental vehicle before they arrive.

J GM, It is obvious there are some concerns from both the community and board members. I suspect from the tone of your post, you're either a board member or a close friend to one of them. What the board members must understand is the community has been through some significant changes in the past couple months. The HOA fee has risen $30.00 per month and the parking regulations have been changed. Although I can't and won't speak for the whole community, I would surmise based on this petition, people are frustrated and feel they don't have a voice. By calling a special meeting it will allow the community to have that voice. The best solution is for the board to have a special meeting with the community concerning the parking situation.This also seems like a good opportunity for the board and community to come together and mutually resolve the issue. Regardless of the outcome, I believe people will be satisfied their voices are heard.
