Crosswalk for Armadale Avenue at Bloor Street West

The Green P parking lot needs to have another entrance off of Willard Ave to take the pressure off of Armadale Ave. This lot only has one entrance and is very busy.

Safety before politics please

This would improve safety in the area significantly.

The neighborhood is getting popular and safety is a paramount. Installing the light will provide better service for the area.

I think it's very important.

I had once scaped a very dangerous accident at this location

My daughter was in a car accident at this corner. There are hundreds of blind spots due to parked cars on South side. This is exacerbated by the heavy traffic. Someone is going to get killed.

You could instead walk the 50m to Jane and use the crosswalk with traffic lights there or over to windermere also so as not to slow down the flow of traffic on bloor street when there is already multiple ways to cross.

This is absolutely necessary, particularly as the Billage pedestrian traffic increases. As a pedestrian I agree there needs to be something between Windermere and jane as its a fair distance to walk particularly if you have any physical limitations and as a driver as well as I often fear I will hit these pedestrians that run out in the middle of traffic to cross!! Please consider!

I live in the neighbourhood and can confirm that a crosswalk would greatly improve the functionality and safety of this intersection.

This is a dangerous intersection not only for people who are crossing Bloor but also for those crossing Armadale on Bloor. I have had several very close calls while crossing the intersection due to this scenario. Drivers turning off Bloor onto Armadale cannot see through the buses that might be blocking the view of pedestrians crossing Armadale. Buses often pull into, and subsequently block, the intersection so that pedestrian traffic cannot cross. While a crosswalk on Bloor would not have prevented my near-hits, any measures that would improve the intersection could only make things safer for all involved.

We visit often and find this intersection very dangerous.

This spot is used frequently by pedestrians heading to and from the subway entrance. A formal crosswalk would be a great safety improvement.

I was hit by a car at Armadale and Bloor on February 1, 2015 and had to be taken to the hospital . It is a very dangerous intersection and too far from Jane or Windermere. Please put a crosswalk on the east side. It would not delay the buses turning onto Bloor.

Finally this important decision will be implemented! 4 years ago I formally asked the city to look at this. At that time, a transportation study deemed it inappropriate to add a crosswalk due to proximity to the other 2 lights at Jane and Windermere. Since then, I know of one major pedestrian accident. This is a major safety issue that needs to be addressed right away. Thank you for supporting!

Lights or a crosswalk are sorely needed here.

a cross walk is needed...actually saw an elderly woman get hit by a car..and a friend's mom was struck trying to cross at Armadale and Bloor..the neighbourhood has asked a number of times to install a crosswalk but to no avail..please we need a crosswalk... thankyou Gionilda Stolee 27 Verbena Avenue
