I think at the very least a crosswalk should be installed at this intersection.

Absolutely! This is a very busy and very dangerous intersection for both cars AND pedestrians.

I know that earlier studies concluded there is insufficient mileage between Windermere and Jane however habits can be changed. Drivers will be forced to slow down and stop. Hurrah!

This locations a logical spot for a crosswalk. Without it pedestrians take their chances. It is not realistic for people to walk all the way to the lights at this spot.

I lived in Bloor West for almost 25 years, from 1985 to 2009, and was often astonished at the audacity of some drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians which seriously risks the safety of all. Frankly from Bloor Street West across to Danforth, our city needs to slow down to accommodate the ever increasing density of residents and visitors. A cross walk or traffic lights will help immensely at this particular intersection. However, I will further say that reducing the speed limit on many main streets and side streets, and new clear signage will create a more secure experience for all.

Many people are disabled and need a safer area to cross,

Absolutely. Would make crossing with a bike much easier also.

My husband is in a wheelchair, so having lights and a crosswalk would be very beneficial. We always walk to the nearest lights even though we are just going across Bloor! In bad weather it would be very helpful to be able to cross there.

I have seen too many close calls to ignore this any longer. As drivers get more aggressive, and the population continues to grow, it is only a matter of time before we have a tragedy here. If the city insists on focusing on urban density along transit corridors, it only follows that pedestrian safety should be a priority particularly where they must cross busy streets to access the ttc.
