Argyll & Bute Council: Build a new concrete skatepark as part of the Helensburgh Pierhead Development.

I fully support this, Helensburgh needs to support its families and provision of an activity area such as this would be perfect

places like skateparks create open public communities that are often moral and self policing. They help deter social problems. It is vital to give something back to the community that is free, especially when so much retail space is planned, and retail suffers in Helensburgh. Give people a reason to visit for free fun and things like retail may improve to.

Please revisit the redevelopment plan to incorporate

the kids shouldn’t have to travel to Unit23 to skate- great in poor weather but sometimes local is vital. Provided that it’s well maintained it will save the council money in the long run. Purpose built - see the skate park that was Eventually built in Kirkintilloch.
