The feedback I have received from readers confirms that the community values the depth of local reporting these journalists provide. I am currently preparing a formal inquiry to management to address the potential impact of these staff reductions on our local news coverage.

Awful news for ipswich. We need our reporters.
Ridiculous decision. Cutting jobs just means worse papers for everyone. Stop focusing on the bottom line for once.
I have read the EADT my whole life. Please dont destroy it by getting rid of the journalists who actually do the work.
Keep the local news local. We need these people to tell us what is actually happening in our town.
The papers are already thin enough as it is. Dont make it any worse for the staff.
