Its ridiculous that I have to carry a separate reader just for my insulin pump info when my phone already has the hardware. Apple needs to get over their control issues and just let the sensors talk to the phone. Patients deserve better.

Typical apple. Joining a technology late in the game and locking it down. There are so many app developers who are waiting to integrate this into their systems. I guess once all the jailbreakers have created their hacks, and apple can see it working they will decide it is a good idea, brand it as their own and release it!
