CONDOOMED

Don’t be a fool and say no to condoms in school!
The Department of Health (DOH) plans to distribute condoms in schools as part of their campaign to reduce the rising number of HIV/AIDS cases among the Filipino youth. A school is a place of education, not a place to promote contraception. As Fr. Jerome Secillano said, “Distributing condoms will only condone sexual activity among students. The government should invest more in educating people about the perils of ‘sporadic sexual activity’ than procuring and distributing condoms.” They should educate the students properly with the disadvantages of having sex at early age and some consequences if they will become parents at an early age. I think educating the students is more important than promoting their campaign of giving free condoms in schools. I also believe that we must start quickly on the right solutions not like this one.
No to distribution but proper education! Don’t be a fool and say no to condoms in school!
