South Shields MP Emma Lewell Buck should answer questions put to her by people of South Shields regarding employment of her husband.
MP's have received an 11% pay rise AGAIN
If her husband is getting £24k Her basic MP pay £74,000 That makes it 32% increase in household income. Peoples standards of living in South Shields are falling year on year and could only dream on an increase like that?
Surely as tax payers who foot the bill we are entitled to know where our money goes.
The figures by IPSA wont be available until the autumn why should the hard working people of South Shields have to wait?
Was the job advertised?
Did you advertise the job at your recent Job Fair?
Why didn't she employ a young person from South Shields?
Is Simon qualified for the job. There have been over 2000 people lost their jobs from the Local Uathority would one of them not have been better?
What is the local Labour Party position, after all the campaigned for her less than a year ago?

I have spent my mornings reading the frustration in your comments and it is clear that many people feel ignored by their own representative. We deserve transparency regarding these hiring practices because our community is struggling while those in power seem to be doing just fine.

Seeing this level of backing from my neighbors shows that people in South Shields are truly tired of being left in the dark. It is clear that we deserve honest answers about how our public funds are being used when so many families here are struggling to get by.

While she is thriving on tax payers money..people are using foodbanks to survive....we deserve and have the right to hear the truth
if all is above board and beyond reproach then answer any appropriate questions tax payers have.
Employ your husband at public expense. Refuse to answer questions about it. Seems legit.
Transparency should be the overriding objective in cases like this

Might be time to look at means testing MP's income theyare so keen on means testing everyone else
