Last weekend Oliver Letwin, Conservative MP for Dorset, remarked: “We don’t want more people from Sheffield flying away on cheap holidays". This is a grand hypocrisy given the nationwide cuts to our public services, and offensive to the people of Sheffield given the Conservative Party's history of unpopular top-down policies in South Yorkshire. We are demanding that Letwin comes to Sheffield to meet the people he has insulted; offering a full public apology and explanation of his words. Boris Johnson did it in Liverpool; let's show the Tories some Sheffield community spirit and get Letwin to do the same.
