Hey, My name is Ankush Kecht. I think I would do an apt job being a senator representing the student body as I am involved in many areas around campus in different capacities. This allows me to be aware of the different issues students face. I have served in student senate on the executive board in the role of sustainability commissioner, and have served 2 semesters in a senator position. I currently serve as President of Tri-Beta Biology National Honors Society, VP of Students of Color in STEM, and Treasurer of the South Asian Student Alliance. In addition, I am a TA in the general biology lab. I also served as an RA for 2 years in both first-year and upper-division halls. I have majors in biology and international studies, which gives me insight into issues facing both the liberal arts and STEM fields. Moreover, I have friends involved in athletics and fine arts.
