Handicap placards are such a worldwide need for all handicapped. Our current placard shows someone in a wheelchair. Those people who are handicapped but can walk, get singled out by angry passer byers and it needs to STOP!!!.

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to change the placard to make it more disability friendly.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many people have joined this effort to make our symbols more inclusive for everyone. This momentum belongs entirely to the people who took the time to speak up for a change that matters.

My husband has a bad heart and uses his pass sometimes but people always give him dirty looks like he is faking it. Its so rude.

Totally agree. People need to mind their own business if they dont know the full story.

I was humiliated and yelled at in a crowded Panera restaurant once because of this. It needs to change. Not every disability is visible.

This should change. I have another friend with a similar situation.
