Maintain the habitat - and the fish will take care of themselves if protected - then only stock the marginal streams for the catch and keep folks

This is long overdue and a responsible step to take. Pennsylvania trout (including native brook trout) have made a comeback due to generations of effort to end pollution as well as our forests recovering from industrial era timbering. Providing once again the shade and cool waters needed to support world class trout streams and rivers

Cold, clean water is essential. Few things in this world take presidence over the topic of this petition. FFPA!

This is an area of conservation that is mostly overlooked and these fish are unique specimens deserving of protection. The culture of stocked fishing in PA goes back many years and I'm not fully against it as it engages people in fishing, but a smarter system, especially for migratory trophy fish should be enforced and enstated. Imagine the outcome even 5 years from now, our wild trophy fish could be thriving generating special opportunities for conservation minded anglers and education for those entering into the sport. Thank you for your time and please consider this petition as a step in the right direction for protection of these beautiful wild fish.

The potential is there, but don't forget about the our native brook trout. This needs to be carefully approached, but I support the idea and vision to increase the number of locations to target wild brown trout, for there are too few locations at least in my area of PA and the locations that do has experienced increased pressure and the fish population has declined.

Good ideas but we cannot forget that the 1st priority is protect and enhance our brook trout and the coldwater streams they inhabit, many with brown trout populations.

Wild trout are a far more valuable resource than the stocking programs. I'd like to see our policies in PA reflect this.
