I urge the PFBC to initiate a study of our wild brown trout fishery and implement habitat improvement, set a slot limit and stop stocking over sustainable wild populations with a goal to maximize the potential of the fishery here in PA

Place brookie conservation first, brown second, other wild populations last. Increase our native/wild populations do we don’t have to stock so many lesser quality fish.

I am totally in favor of any regulations that can enhance our wild trout fishery in PA!

I strongly encourage the Commission to discuss this type of study as it holds clues to the management of this precious resource and the protections these fish deserve. Many of us are seeing this type of behavior on streams across the Commonwealth where no protection is in place for them. This study would bring Pennsylvania to the forefront of brown trout management in the U.S. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
