We are a group of Homeowners who have very limited access to a very basic utility service, The INTERNET!. The service we presently have is sporadic, slow, expensive, unreliable, and non operational too frequently. We have been told by the present sole provider that the service will not get better as they will not invest any more dollars in upgrades. Many of us have home offices where it is critical for our livelihood to have reliable internet. We are not located in a rural area, we are just on the makai edge of Waimea town on the Big Island. Its time we are entitled to the same basic services as our neighbors. Please bring DSL Internet Service to Anekona Estates, and our neighbors at Kanehoa Estates. Updates

February 23, 2011

I have been documenting the frequent service outages experienced by our residents to prepare a formal submission for the service provider. The persistence of these communication gaps illustrates exactly why our collective request for reliable infrastructure is essential.

The momentum behind this petition highlights how vital reliable connectivity is for every resident in our community. This level of engagement confirms that our demand for equitable infrastructure cannot be ignored by providers any longer.

Seriously it is impossible to run a business from home here. The connection drops every 20 minutes. FIX IT.

We pay way too much for service that hardly works. Just want what everyone else has.
