The Andover High School summer baseball program would like to offer 13U and 14U options for spring/summer 2018. This would provide an alternative to the current Andover Baseball Association (ABA) options for these ages, but would not replace the ABA program. The Minnesota Youth Athletic Services (MYAS), the organization that administers the youth baseball program, has requested a petition to evaluate the level of interest in playing baseball through the high school program as part of their consideration of endorsement. In signing this petition, you are supporting the Andover High School baseball program to form and administer a 13U and 14U teams for the 2018 season. This is not an obligation to play baseball through the high school, nor does it prevent you from playing through ABA.

The feedback provided by families indicates a strong appetite for expanded youth baseball options in our community. I have begun drafting a formal proposal for the league administrators based on the consistent interest shown here.

The level of interest demonstrated by this community confirms the need for additional youth baseball opportunities in our area. This momentum suggests that our proposal presents a viable path forward for the high school program. We are preparing this information for submission to the Minnesota Youth Athletic Services to assist with their evaluation.

Long overdue. My son wants to play for the school program. Make it happen.
finally some choices for summer ball. aba keeps getting more expensive and not worth it.
Too many travel teams cost a fortune. This sounds like a way better deal for the families.
