We are your fans across South Indian states and diaspora countries. We come from all walks of life, across gender and age spectrum, country borders, and professions. Though we may not put up banners or show our affection in traditional ways, we are as dedicated as the fans of any other artist in the industry. Our love gets expressed through social media and in the way we talk about you and your films to our family and friends, sometimes even to strangers, with a sparkle in our eyes. We get inspired by you to approach the world in a positive way, and reduce hatred and spread love in our day to day lives.

Needless to say, we consider you the best talent today in the industry. We may be prejudiced, but as we hear the same from even senior artists, we believe it is true. We like that you give importance to right roles, and concentrate on working in quality movies. We prefer quality over quantity any day. People speaking Malayalam, Telugu & Tamil celebrate you as their own. We are proud of that, and love that you choose the films across these languages as long as the story and role feels right.

Here is the problem. Not all of us speak all these languages. Producers have been kind enough to translate, dub and release the films in other languages. However in all the dubbed movies, they use a different dubbing artist. These artists too have done a good job. But as your fans, we feel the dubbed movies are still lacking when they don’t have your voice. We consider your voice an integral part of your performance, and when it is different, it sounds artificial.

So our kind request to you is to dub for your movies in the secondary languages too whenever possible. We understand that you may not feel satisfied when dubbing for a second language due to lip sync issues. However a little out of sync voice is better than not having your voice. As all these are Dravidian languages, the problem is significantly minimized. Do not feel compelled or obligated. Only do it when you are confident of doing justice to it and other factors align. But when the question comes up, please keep in mind that your fans will prefer you to lend your voice whenever possible. We still want you to do only what makes you happy.
