HEY STUDENTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is US guys that have to WAKE UP! We have to stand for our educational rights, and not just observe the train passing by.
Our School costs a TON of money compared to other institutions, and we have do deal with the most antiquated/second hand equipment that we have seen in many years.
HOW IS IT CONCEIVABLE that an IT school does not offer IT labs to students to practice their skills?? AND WE DO PAY A LAB FEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We don't want to pay $80 dollars for virtualized environments that offer ZERO hands-on experience! We want a physical lab with a subject expert to leads us through the discipline at the highest levels that a University should require in its curriculum.
Students, we have no right to complain if we don't AT LEAST TRY to push the raise of our educational level.
This petition is for students AND professors that adhere to this initiative.
We want quality, enough with the BLA BLA BLA and enough laziness!!!!!

I support this, we need hand on experience with tools in an IT lab at the falls church campus
I think the IT department is not able to live up to it's potential due to the fact that we do not have the software and hardware to effectively and proficiently learn our field of study. I have been going to Stratford for almost 2 years now and getting ready to graduate. What I was told was when I started was this was a school I would not only get theoretical training in but I would also get solid proficient hands on training. That has not happened and it has been the most disappointing aspect of this school. I truly feel concerned that even with a degree without more practical experience I will not be ready for the workforce. We pay for lab fees that we do not get or the instructor does not use. There needs to be some structure and standardization to ensure that we are getting the education we are paying for.
