The proposal for the Carrick Street ambulance station has been officially withdrawn. This outcome preserves our neighborhood green space and validates the careful planning we insisted upon throughout this process. I will continue to monitor the site to ensure the land remains protected for community use.

We, the undersigned, strongly object to the proposed BC ambulance station on Carrick Street. It is completely inappropriate to embed a temporary ambulance station in a panhandle lot on community-valued greenspace within a quiet, residential, family neighbourhood replete with traffic-calming devices and other issues of public safety. We call upon our elected officials, BC Ambulance Service, VIHA, and BC Hydro as land owner to base our emergency health services on sites more appropriate, permanent and safe.

RIDICULOUS choice. Why force this into a tiny lot with zero room for trucks to maneuver? Absolutely zero sense.

Find a better spot. Carrick is not the place.

This is going to destroy the quiet of the neighborhood. Emergencies happen but putting a station here is just lazy planning.

That street is way too narrow for emergency vehicles to be flying in and out of. It is a total nightmare waiting to happen with all the kids playing around there.

Keep our greenspace alone!! There are industrial spots for this kind of thing, not right in the middle of a family area.

Please listen to the residents. We need that park space for our kids and the traffic calming is there for a reason. Don't ruin our street.
