Help stop a housing development next to a SSSI meadow in Hereford

The proposed development has the potential to cause irreparable damage to an SSI of national importance that is hugely valued by local people.

There are plenty more sites round Hereford which could do with developing - already plans for 1000 new houses in Three Elms - how many more do we need!. The Lammas meadow does not need the pollution that this number of houses will inevitably bring. We have fewer and fewer species each year because of unnecessary human intervention and interference. LEAVE IT ALONE..

It is a disgrace that this govemment are determined to destroy all our greenbelt land and about time everyone said no to this.

Largest Lammas meadow in the country and Bovis want to threaten it - shameful. Greenfield sites, rather than brownfield, are easier and cheaper for developers to use - in other words profit before environment - they don't care.

This will have a hugely negative impact on the Lugg Meadow that suffers extensive flooding every year that this development will increase the severity of.

These meadows need to be saved for the people of Hereford. They are very special.

I hope you are able to prevent this development and protect this important site

this site should be left as meadow. it floods regulalrly and any building could cause harmful damge to surrounsing areas.

Apart from being an SSSI, an historical site it is also part of a flood plain that regularly takes floods - as it is meant to do.

This special site should be left as it is. There are plenty of grey field sites aroung the city.

I'm sure there are more areas around hereford that could be utilised, as open spaces which are significant need to be protected for the enjoyment now and in the future for all generations

Whilst there may be a need for more housing in Hereford, there are other areas that could be built on that are not near a SSSI site such as the land where Whitecross school used to be ..

I wish to support every effort to preserve this SSSI site and fully support the council's decision to reject this application.

Whilst there may be a need for more housing in Hereford it should not be at the expense of sensitive rural land. Especially considering the extra infrastructure that may be needed in the future putting additional pressure on this area.

Stop and think about the huge negative impact, please

This area is already challenged by existing housing, businesses, schools, colleges and there associated traffic. The area around the Lugg meadow should be preserved from development to protect the SSSI.
