Help stop a housing development next to a SSSI meadow in Hereford

Sites of special scientific interest are protected by law to preserve their special wildlife and geology. If this planning application is succesful, it will have an impact on landscape, wild life and geology. Likewise, Herefordshire has a big problem with phosphate and additional houses on this site will worsen the phosphate problem in the Lugg.

Building on and near flood planes has already caused so many problems so this planning should not be allowed to proceed

Building so close to a SSSI will significantly disrupt the natural life of the Lugg meadow. Traffic will increase in an area where it is already a problem. This development should not get permission to go ahead.

Although I live outside the area I have strong Herefordshire connections and value this very important SSSI. As a quite frequent local road user I also have serious concerns about traffic implications

I am most concerned about the possible threat to this precious piece of medieval landscape. It is the focus of an important research project, The Floodplains Meadows Partnership, an Open University initiative. It would be short-term vandalism to allow anything to put these meadows at risk. We are stewards of this land and, as such, should behave responsibly. There are other ways of solving our housing needs.

The meadow and areas around it are too important as SSSI's to even contemplate further development adjacent to/encroaching on them.

Beyond believe they would even consider it given the environmental and traffic issues, all of which will be exacerbated by frequent flooding, not just during winter.

I am against the building of these houses. We need to save this area for sssi. More houses will just add to the traffic problem we already have in this area.

How can the council possible allow Bovis Homes to build in this SSSI. Despite the impact on the wildlife we also have to be wary that this area is also liable to flooding!

Ther are already applications for very many homes around this area, including Hampton Bishop. These would increase the riskd of environmental damege and affect the Llama meadows and flood plain
